Transmission Engineer I or II

Provide technical support to Substation/Transmission Engineering Manager and other personnel in the design, construction and maintenance of electric transmission lines. Assist other groups in the cooperative and in the member cooperatives in the capacity of a Transmission Engineer.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
1+ years' experience in the design and construction of electric transmission lines and substation support structures.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge and ability to utilize PLS-CADD, and MFAD or LPILE design software applications.
Knowledge and ability to utilize AutoCAD, SAG10, Microsoft Word and Excel.
Engineer-In-Training Certificate is desirable.
ESSENTIAL AND MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
Provide technical support to Substation/Transmission Engineering Manager by preparing technical specifications, drawings and related documents for review by the Substation/Transmission Engineering Manager.
Assist Substation/Transmission Engineering Manager with the preparation of project cost estimates.
Assist Substation/Transmission Engineering Manager with the preparation of project schedules.
Assist Substation/Transmission Engineering Manager with review of material supplier and contractor approval submittals.
Assist Substation/Transmission Engineering Manager with monitoring the installation of transmission lines by outside contractors and Cooperative personnel.
Provide as-built documentation of completed installation of transmission lines for review by Substation/Transmission Engineering Manager.
Assist Substation/Transmission Engineering Manager with preparation of contract and project closeout documentation.
Provide technical assistance to Transmission System Operation and Maintenance staff by preparing verbal and/or written technical answers to problems and questions.
Provide technical review of system additions proposed by Planning Division from both design and constructability viewpoints.
Assist Substation/Transmission Engineering Manager with evaluation of material and construction bids.
Under direction of the Substation/Transmission Engineering Manager assist with design of substation foundations, structural steel and site development.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
